March 16th Lenten journey

Lord, out of the window I can see a pigeon and a robin sitting together on the telephone wires. The pigeon is so much larger, but they sit accepting of each other. Easy to find analogies as we deal with people of apparently high status, or more education, or more experience, yet we need to find ways to accept each other and empathise with our common humanity. March 15th Lenten journey

Lord, I thank you deeply for the gifts and graces which you surround me with every day. They are not deserved but a source of constant delight and joy. I focus on my daily timetable racing from one meeting to the next, trying to prepare for everything and nothing is more than fleeting. Your gifts and grace Lord are everywhere and always. Thank you Lord for helping me to notice the everlasting outside the temporary. Amen. Continue reading March 15th Lenten journey

Amen Continue reading March 13th Lenten journey

March 12th Lenten journey

Lord, I get the feeling that this journey has just been a series of pauses, rather than progress in some way. Am I moving towards you or simply settling in to a new routine? As I ask this, I know you are telling me I must keep looking and you will accompany me through the difficult paths. Forgive my doubts Lord. Amen Continue reading March 12th Lenten journey

March 8th Lenten journey

Lord, the trees are starting to grow fat with buds, and new flowers remind us of your plans for the world, that whatever is going on in our little lives, your creation finds its balance and continues to grow. Help us to keep a little perspective on our lives. To make plans and try to do and give what we can, but also to know that your purpose overshadows our actions. We may interfere at times, but your way will stand firm. Amen Continue reading March 8th Lenten journey
