So many churches, Lord, and temples and synagogues. So many holy places we gave seen, and wondered at and wandered in, and prayed in. We pray for all the pilgrims, like ourselves, whose shuffling footsteps leave their trace in these churches and holy places. We pray for all those who lead our churches and ask that they ficus on your loving spirit and not in the rituals of difference .
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
So many countries Lord, jostling in the Holy Land; jostling for territory and water. Guide their rulers towards peace Lord, as they make decisions which lie heavy on the hearts if their people.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
So many villages and settlements, cities and tents we have seen Lord, stretching down the centuries to the present day. We pray Lord for the health and vigour which comes from sharing in community Lord, as we 29 have shared together on our pilgrimage. We pray for all these communities Lord
Here and in our own land. Lord , in your mercy, hear our prayer.
So many sufferers Lord, sharing your pain. We take a few moments now to name in our hearts those we know who suffer, asking for your comfort to encircle them. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
And we pray for all your saints and our loved ones now with you and we ask for your comfort for those left behind. Lord, in your mercy , hear our prayer .
Grant us a vision Lord, to see what we can achieve, to reach out beyond ourselves, to share our lives with others , to stretch our capabilities, to increase our sense of purpose, to be aware of where we can help, to be sensitive to your presence, to give heed to your constant call, Amen
Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen .
